Network Perspectives and Applications in Criminology
Ellen Vandenbogaerde (University of Sussex, UK) & Marieke Vlaemynck (University of Ghent, Belgium)
This session welcomes papers exploring network data collection and analysis in criminology and related disciplines. The network perspective offers unique tools to explore traditional criminological questions, particularly with regards to hard-to-reach or hidden populations these disciplines tend to investigate. This session would like to explore the issues, opportunities and setbacks researchers encounter while collecting and analysing data. Contributions that use a qualitative or personal network approach are particularly encouraged.
