Maureen Ehrensberger-Dow, PhD, is Professor of Translation Studies in the ZHAW Institute of Translation and Interpreting and Secretary General of the European Society of Translation Studies. She was principal investigator of the interdisciplinary project Cognitive and Physical Ergonomics of Translation, a follow-up of the Capturing Translation Processes project, and is currently co-investigator of Cognitive Load in Interpreting and Translation (all funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation). She has published widely on translation processes and workplace research as well as co-editing several special issues and most recently the Bloomsbury Companion to Language Industry Studies (2019).
