Within the set of multilingual educational practices, CLIL is a means of ensuring both specificity and originality in a multilingual programme. It is an educational proposal aimed at achieving language and subject matter learning simultaneously within any academic discipline.

Previous editions of this congress have highlighted the structural benefits of CLIL (efficient learning time to teach curriculum materials for language learning) and educational benefits (the language of communication becomes a means to learn, naturally, educational content and social skills). Many European centers count on educational proposals rooted within this framework, at all educational levels (primary, secondary and tertiary), and this conference aims to underscore the development of CLIL into more and more innovative teaching and learning practices that are truly integrative, that focus on learning, and favor the construction of knowledge.
